After a long road of studies and exhausting lab tests, we have finally landed the perfect formulas for the tastiest and most awesome looking chocolates, made from the Best Swiss Chocolate in the World.
We are all the same, when we see a beautiful chocolate, we want to eat it….right? Well more often than not, we buy a lovely looking chocolate or truffle, or even a box of chocolates, but to find that we actually do not know what the flavour is that we have just eaten…honestly? Often only sweet on the inside and cardboardy on the outside. Basically the same texture and mixture, just a little hint of an essence perhaps. Worth it? No….afterall, just a craving you needed to satisfy for a little while.
No short cuts, only the best, finest and purest ingredients have been added, mixed, infused and tested to perfection here at Burtschers Chocolaterie.
Upon our completion of all this hard work, we have finally entertained our first Chocolate Tasting Guests with huge success and Great Rewards. Our top “taste buds” were set around the tables and ready to listen, taste and criticise, add their comments and help improve our precious little Morsels by completing the score sheet and feedback form.
An amazing evening of 3 hours turned out to be a huge success of seriousness, fun and interaction.
Chocolates were presented on each table – each person was given 8 chocolates, (no normal person could possibly consume more than this and still have all their senses at their best – (refer to “how do we taste chocolate – Tasting”) these were all discussed individually and in length and detail of which chocolate was used to match each filling. To everyone’s amazement, all the fillings were made from scratch, no short cuts, – infusions being the best, most natural path and healthy to follow, they are subtle and have lingering and refreshing aftertastes long after eating – without the “Repeat Factor” that have Tasters take home a few extras for when the longing raises its head after leaving great company and an enjoyable evening of learning so much, they have never heard about. Everyone felt so much richer for knowledge, making them feel so educated about Chocolate.
We enjoy these informative events to teach the public / guests to enjoy and appreciate a good chocolate. Today, Chocolate is becoming the most popular talked about Buzz-Word, but unfortunately there is so much information….or not – and people still pop “chocolate” into their bodies, which is actually not allowed to be called chocolate due to the most important ingredients being omitted, i.e. Cocoa Butter and Cocoa Solids and being replaced with unhealthy Vegetable Fats, Sugars and Flavourants, (even Chocolate Flavourings), these being detrimental to anyone’s health, causing diabetes and Cholesterol amongst many other ailments. These “Chocolates” are filled with Sugars, causing further cravings and never satisfying these cravings.
We at Burtscher’s use Chocolate sourced from Switzerland and Belgium with the best reputations, never changing their award winning recipes and ensuring that we keep the same standards.
Eating / enjoying in moderation like with everything else in life, a good quality chocolate has no harmful effects on your health (please do note that our chocolates do contain milk and milk solids, nuts have also been used in many of our chocolates too i.e. – take care those with allergies). The darker and better the quality, the less we need to feel guilty about when having eaten a few of these divine chocolates.
When eating these beautiful chocolates, there is no craving afterwards….only a longing for another soon!
